Malcolm (left) aka Petitchien’s Mr Melodrama has spent some time living with Alexandra Forth of the Omegaville Kennel in Malaga.  After only two showing weekends he gained 4 x CAC, 2 x CACIB, 4 x BOB and 1 x G3. With huge thanks to Alex. We are thrilled that he is home for the Summer before a little more globetrotting at the end of the year, and are pleased to report that he is doing consistently well. I am currently growing up some lovely puppies whom I hope to show in the Summer and Autumn (see above right). Hartley (right) aka Multi Group Winner and Placer, AKC Grand Champion Petitchien’s Moon River took his final 5 Point Major towards Championship with style and finished by winning the Toy Group in Kenai, Alaska on 8th July. He returned to Alaska a week later, and within three weeks of achieving his Championship gained his Grand Championship and several Group wins and placings. Hartley is owned by Vickie Ehrlekrona. This news gives my kennel three Champions and one Grand Champion and Multi Group Winner and Placer from my Graycaz Take The Michael (left) so far with limited breedings, as well as an Irish Jnr Champion, a major pointed boy, a bitch with two RCC’s and several puppies who are doing well. I will forever be grateful to Caroline Lee Slater for letting me have him, he is an incredibly prepotent sire, who throws superb type and temperament. At his first show (UK Toy Dog)  Jake (right) qualified for Crufts as the baby in a large class (6-9 months) and then went on to achieve 1st MPD at the Birmingham National on 7th May, and several further Crufts qualifications since. We are also thrilled to announce the arrival of Elendil Classic Endeavour (right), a stunning boy out of UK Ch Caswell Classic Tri. Huge thanks to both Anne Borg his breeder and Jenny Scovell of Caswell Papillons for letting this happen. “Mr Bennett” will be shown shortly. After only 3 months living in Norway Moon (left) was most winning male Papillon puppy in 2010, and second highest scoring Papillon Puppy overall. He has since gained a CAC and Jnr BOB. Some of our 2010 Results At Caernarfon and District Canine Society Open Show on November 13th Petitchiens Mr Melodrama was BOB Papillon (shortlisted to final 5 for BIS), and Petitchien's Moon River was Best Papillon Puppy, and Reserve Best Puppy in Show. Breed Judge Charlotte McNamara, BIS Judge Bob Gregory. We had a great day out at the Northern and Eastern Counties Papillon Club Championship Show on 7th November ~ Dora was the baby in puppy Bitch and won the class (under Judge Mrs Rita Morgan), Malcolm was the baby in Limit Dog and achieved an impressive 2/28 in high quality class as well, and Hartley gained 3/12 as the baby in Puppy Dog under Breed Specialist Mark Whitehill :- ). On September 25th Moon aka Petitchien’s Full Moon gained BOB and BIG 3 aged just 4 months and a few days in Norway ~ just one week  after arriving there.. With a critique that said excellent for topline, head, ears, angulation, spirit and movement! :-) Since then he has repeated this achievement and now has 2 x BOG 3 and 4 x BIR ~ all before 6 months of age. New Canadian Champion Petitchien's Moonshine (Mickey) has been doing incredibly well showing at his new home in Nova Scotia, where he lives with Carla Praught and Shana Snow at the Maribeso Kennel. Over the last 2 weekends (his first times in the ring, aged 7 months) he has taken 3 majors and a single point for 15pts. Making him our first homebred Champion ~ way to go Mickey! The City of Brimingham Show gave Lewis a 2nd in a very strong Limit Dog class and Malcolm a 3rd. The Petitchien gang had a super day at the Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show. Malcolm (Petitchien’s Mr Melodrama) gained a CC and Best of Breed, and Milly, Lewis, Dora, Hartley and Poppy all gained 2nds ~ under Mrs Pauline Sidgwick. We had great fun on the UK  Summer Show Circuit - with Petitchien’s Over The Moon, Ir Jnr Ch., right, gaining her Stud Book Number and 1st Limit Bitch at Paignton then 3rd Limit Bitch at WKC. Dora, left, (Petitchien’s Moon Crystal) gained 1st MPB and BPBIS at South Of England Papillon Club Show -  her first show at just 2 days over 6 months, then 3rd MPB at WKC. Dora’s litter brother Hartley, below left, (Petitchien’s Moon River) also did very well by winning his MPB class at WKC. Malcolm, below right, (Petitchien’s Mr Melodrama) also gained 2nd Jnr Dog at Leeds, and 3rd Jnr Dog at Paignton. In Germany (18/07/10) Alfie (Petitchien’s Alfie Moon at Beautyfly, VDH Jnr Ch) collected an Excellent 1 and CAC at the Clubshow in Coburg - that brings his total to 4 CAC and 1 CACIB now ~ huge congrats to Petra and Jutta. At Border Union Championship Show on the 19th June, Malcolm aka Petitchien’s Mr Melodrama achieved 1st Junior Dog at just 13 months, Lewis aka Powdermill Touch of Fortune gained a 3rd in Open Dog, Tia aka Amicae Missbehavin at Petitchien gained a 2nd in Puppy Bitch, Poppy aka Petitchien’s Scarlett O’Hara gained a 3rd, and Milly aka Petitchien’s Over The Moon, Irish Jnr Ch., gained a VHC.  At SKC on 23rd May Petitchien’s Scarlett O’Hara achieved 1st in Papillon Junior Bitch under Mrs J Edson. On 8th May “Caeyn” aka Petitchiens Maitre De La Mer went to Beacon Championship Agility Show - he had an amazing run in the champ final to win his first RCC in only his 3rd ever championship class. Well done Caeyn, Ceri and David :-). At his first Show with us Powdermill Touch of Fortune gained BOB and Reserve Best in Show at Caernarfon and District CS Show out of an entry of 170 under Betty Flavell. At his second Championship Show with us he gained his Stud Book number  (and is thus Crufts Qualified for Life) under Phil Shirley, breed Specialist (Cordonrouge) at Welks.We are thrilled with him - he has super temperament, looks and breeding, and is a very welcome addition to out kennel. At CRUFTS our breeding did well. Nine dogs we own or have bred were qualified this year. Five were present - four were well placed. Milly got 2nd in Special Junior Bitch in a class of 13, Reggie got 2nd and Malcolm got 3rd in Special Puppy Dog in a class of 10, and Poppy got 4th in Special Puppy Bitch in a class of 12. Milly aka Petitchien’s Over The Moon, Ir Jnr Ch. did really well at the Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Open Show in February and was RBBIS out of 50 bitches present :-). Fabulous news also came in that Alfie aka Petitchien’s Alfie Moon at Beautyfly VDH Junior Champion, gained V1+CAC and CACIB at the Munich International Dog Show on March 7th. Very Well Done to Petra and Jutta :-) Poppy aka Petitchien’s Scarlett O’Hara also achieved 1st Minor Puppy Bitch for Joyce at the Manchester Championship Show. The UK Summer Circuit promises some excitement too, as three of the most promising puppies from Emma’s current litter will hopefully start their show careers then. Some of our 2009 Results Four of our dogs were multiple qualifiers for Crufts 2009 - with two of them having gained "BPIB" along the way at Championship Shows - on the day it was only Emma aka "Petitchien's Tri'Lemma Latte" that went along - and she did brilliantly well by winning her class under Breed Specialist Jean Banfield (Kingshaven). Since then Emma has gained the Reserve Bitch Challenge Certificate  at the Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Championship Show under breed specialist Pauline Wilson (Invergarick). Two of our puppies did really well this year at the City Of Birmingham Championship show - Petitchien’s Alfie Moon gained best Papillon Puppy (out of 32), whilst his sister Petitchien’s Over The Moon gained Best Papillon Bitch Puppy - second only to her brother....  Since then “Morrie” aka Farleysbane Morris Minor For Petitchien was awarded “Best Puppy in Breed” at the Midland Counties Championship Show, aged 8 months.... and even more recently Malcolm aka Petitchien’s Mr Melodrama and Poppy aka Petitchien’s Scarlett O’Hara achieved the double at Northern and Eastern Counties papillon Club Championship Show by achieving BPIS and BPBIS respectively - on only their first and second outing. In August we went to Ireland to show on the Munster Circuit - we had a lovely time - and both Milly, Emma, and Morris did very well - coming home with 2 Green Stars and 3 Reserve Green Stars, 6 x 1st Excellents, 2 x 2nd Excellents, and one Puppy Very Promising. Since then Milly has been gained the other two 1st Excellents required - so she can now be called  Petitchien’s Over The Moon, IR JNR CH. Alfie aka Petitchien’s Alfie Moon at Beautyfly, VDH JNR CH  is now owned by Jutta Kalbermatter in Switzerland and Petra Shittenhelm of Germany - after three weekends of showing in Europe is already a German Junior Champion and 1/3 of the way towards his Swiss Junior Championship. Huge thanks to Jutta and Petra. “Teddy” aka Petitchien’s Moonbeam gained a RCC at Belfast aged just 12 months - he now lives in Scotland with the Hazel and David Malcolm. Teddy, Alfie, and Milly are all from one litter and were sired by our dog Michael aka Graycaz Take the Michael (1 CC, 3 RCC) Michael brings with him superb type and movement, phenomenal breeding, abundant silky coat, large ears with profuse fringing, and brilliant temperament. Another family member who is doing very well is Caeyn - aka Petitchien Maitre de la Mer AW (G) Grade 7 - owned by Ceri and David. Caeyn is becoming a very skilled Agility dog, and Ceri and David have done brilliantly well with him in a very short period of time. We are very proud of Caeyns agility successes - and incredibly pleased that he has such a a lovely home. Some of our 2010 Results
